Paintings
After many years of carving and painting wood sculptures and reliefs, I’ve turned my creative energies towards painting. Utilizing some of the same techniques of layering acrylic paint on wood textures, I often sand and scrape away layers to reveal colors, lines and shapes. It’s these discoveries that thrill me the most. I can’t plan these marks, as much as I wish I could. With each painting there is no map to follow, no right or wrong way, it’s my journey that you see as the end result.
